Due to unforeseen circumstances and safety precautions only one Fidelity Services Premier Division game was played, which saw Vox Crusaders comfortably beating FNB UKZN Pietermaritzburg 62-8 after leading 17-3 at half time at their headquarters in Ranleigh Crescent Durban North.
Crusaders who became the first club in KZN to win the National Club Championships back in 1993 and 94 last won the Moor Cup in 1998 and are on a revival mode looking to return to their glory years from 93 to 98.
After a slow start they went into overdrive against the students from Maritzburg eventually outscoring their visitors from the Capital with 10 tries to one with fullback Matt Kriel, centers Brad Ellse and Kyle Theron all crossing for two each while wing Nikolai Klewinghaus, prop George van Niekerk and the two utility backs off the bench Phiko Sobahle and Eimantas Bagarauskas all crossing for one each.
Flyhalf Josh Fourie and Klewinghaus shared the kicks.
In the only First Division game UKZN Durban beat Hillcrest 15-7 while in the Under 20 league for the Frank Norris Cup Crusaders made a dramatic recovery from being 29-12 down to comeback strongly and draw 29 all in the match of the day against Durban Collegians. In the remaining game College Rovers Under 20 beat UKZN Durban 31-18
