Ayoba celebrated its fourth birthday by surpassing a momentous milestone of 25 million monthly active users, following its achievement of 20 million users in December 2022. The app’s growth can be attributed to its global availability, with a strong focus on the African continent, particularly in key territories such as Nigeria, Cameroon, South Africa, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Uganda, and The Republic of Congo.

CEO Burak Akinci expressed delight at the milestone and credited user feedback for driving the app’s innovation. He also highlighted the platform’s continuous efforts to enhance user experiences, leading to significant growth in Messages usage by 35%, as well as a 16% rise in both Stories and VoIP calls. Users engaged with 88 million cards covering diverse topics across all channels, while music streams surged by 8%, reaching an impressive 33 million streams in a two-month period.

The media partnership between FAME Week Africa and ayoba marks an exciting chapter in their respective journeys, where together, they will continue to foster the growth and recognition of African talent and entertainment excellence on a global scale.
