EXCO conveyed messages of condolence to families of fallen stalwarts – former President Thabo Mbeki’s mother, Mama Epainette Mbeki and Metro FM DJ, Eddie Makhosonke Zondi, who passed away recently.
EXCO members observed a moment of silence in their honour. Mayor Nxumalo expressed words of sympathy with the families, saying the nation had lost great individuals who had served the people with dignity in their different roles.
