Exciting first round of DPL 2019:
Durban – The first round of the Hollywoodbets Dolphins Premier League, presented by Aucor, produced some strong performances with Dolphins all-rounder Rob Frylinck stealing the limelight with both bat and ball.
The Gap Debt Solutions Pietermaritzburg Spurs star scored two half centuries during the weekend’s action and was amongst the wickets too as the Spurs registered three wins from their first three matches to go top of the log.
There were two other unbeaten sides with the Aucor Durban Chiefs winning two from two and the AFFA Holdings Tugela Sharks also registering two wins from their opening two matches.
Defending champions the Hollywoodbets eThekwini Hurricanes lost their first game – which was a repeat of last year’s final – against the Sharks.
They managed two wins and a loss from their first three fixtures.
The Jooma Properties Zulu Kings, the Fat Henry Drakensberg Thunder and the Snergy Umgeni Rhinos are all yet to register a win in the competition going into week two this weekend in Amanzimtoti.
