Durban will be rolling out the red carpet when the city welcomes the winners of Mzansi Magic’s Clash of the Choirs 2014.
Team KwaZulu-Natal, which was mentored by the accomplished music legend Robbie Malinga, was announced as the victors on Sunday, 06 July 2014, after they beat Team Gauteng and Team Mpumalanga in the finale. Team KZN also walked away with R750 000 prize money, of which R250 000 will be donated to the Ikhwezi Welfare Centre.
The parade will be a prestigious affair that will commence from the Old Court House Museum at 10am, before proceeding onto Anton Lembede (Smith) Street, Joseph Nduli (Russell) Street and Dr Pixley kaSeme (West) Street before making their way back to the museum where the choir will deliver an award-winning performance.
