eThekwini Ward Councillor Candidates

Today, 31 August 2026, the Democratic Alliance in KwaZulu-Natal will announce all our 112 eThekwini Ward Councillor candidates at a launch in Durban.

These councillors will be the force behind our Mayoral Candidate, Haniff Hoosen.

This groundbreaking announcement will be made by the Provincial Leader, Sithembiso Ngema, Provincial Chairperson, Dean Macpherson and eThekwini Mayoral Candidate, Haniff Hoosen.

eThekwini is one of the biggest economic hubs in the country, with booming potential that can only be fully unlocked by a DA-led government. The DA’s candidate selection process was demanding, and we are announcing candidates who are competent and fit-for-purpose to get eThekwini working for all.
