From Durban to Rio to Hyderbad, COP 17, Durban, South Africa, 7th December. 2011
Jim Leape, Director General World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF). This forward looking seminar examined this years Cop17 program in the context of upcoming environmental conventions, the Rio de Janeiro (Rio+20 Earth Summit) and the CBD 11 in Hyderbad, India in 2012. The 3 events offer a unique experience to examine synergies between climate change (Durban), sustainable development (Rio), and bio diversity (Hyderbad). This panel was the first of 3 that will be held at the other country venues.
