Dolphins bow out of T20 Challenge:

Durban – The Hollywoodbets Dolphins fell to a six wicket defeat against the Momentum Multiply Titans, which signalled the end of the CSA T20 Challenge for the Dolphins at the semi-final stage.

The Titans won the toss and put the Dolphins in to bat at St George’s Park and the decision paid off quickly after the start.

The Dolphins had eleven runs on the board when they lost their third wicket. Keegan Petersen, Grant Roelofsen and Dave Miller all falling for scores under seven.

Khaya Zondo tried valiantly to hold the innings together once again when he played a lone hand with a run-a-ball 33 but he was not supported by the other batters.

Ruan de Swardt, Eathan Bosch and Prenelan Subrayen were the only other players to make it to double figures with ten, twelve and thirteen respectively.

The Dolphins laboured to 93 for eight in their 20 overs.

In reply the Dolphins might have had hope when Quinton de Kock was dismissed off his first ball and with the total on 19 the Dolphins had their second – Theunis de Bruyn in the hut for 18 off 12 balls.

A 39 run stand between Dewald Brevis and Heinrich Klaasen took the Titans past 50 before Eathan Bosch bagged his first wicket – Klaasen caught for 10.

Mungaroo got his second wicket when he picked up the scalp of Brevis, caught for 38 off 30 balls.

Sibz Makhanya and Donovan Ferreira then took the Titans home in the fifteenth over of the chase to book their spot in the final.

SUMMARY OF SCORE
Hollywoodbets Dophins 93/8 (K Zondo 33 T Shamsi 3/15)
Momentum Multiply Titans 94/4 (D Brevis 38)
Titans won by six wickets
