Nestled in the stern of the Phantom Ship at uShaka Marine World, the Cargo Hold restaurant offers one of Durban’s most spectacular culinary settings.

The restaurant which introduced a whole new array of sea creatures last year will form part of the setting that is sure make this evening even more memorable.

To begin, diners can choose between four starters – Greek salad – traditional Greek salad served Cargo Hold style; Chef’s Soup of the day – freshly prepared seasonal soup; Jalepeno and Feta Spring Rolls, served with a Picco De Gallo salsa and coriander yoghurt or Smoked Salmon Tian –  thinly sliced smoked salmon, served with crème fraiche, avocado, capers and shallots accompanied by a petit salad.

Mains will be a choice of Linefish, simply grilled with herbs, spices, lemon and olive oil served with french fries; Chicken Supreme, herb cream cheese, with Mediterranean crushed potato mustard sauce; Strudel of Curried vegetables, featuring curried vegetables wrapped in phyllo pastry, complimented with a coriander yoghurt and Sirloin Steak Simonsberg, topped with brie cheese and streaky bacon, on a bed of baby potatoes with a rosemary sauce.

The dessert doesn’t get more decadent, and sure to be difficult to choose one amongst the options. First up is homemade ice cream, or warm toffee apple pudding, served with Grand Marnier Sabayon and Cinnamon Ice cream or Decadent Chocolate Torte, served with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream.

All lady guests will be served a complimentary glass of Theuniskraal Rose with the main meal and a complimentary glass of Cape Velvet will be served with dessert.
