Monday, 25 June 2018 Johannesburg, Dentsply Sirona announced that the company will be selling directly to their customers in South Africa, starting with consumables as of 01 July 2018.
“We believe in the future of South Africa and to prove it, we have set up four new showrooms and training facilities, allowing us to further grow our staff complement who will be trained in Europe to ensure our valued customers receive the best support available,’ said Andy Cyprianos, General Manager, Dentsply Sirona South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa
This new approach provides Dentsply Sirona the opportunity to engage with customers on a personal level, allowing them to provide a seamless consumer experience with significant cost benefits for customers and dental practices. Dentsply Sirona will now offer customers a better solution and a one- stop-shop. This will allow them to leverage entire practice volumes to receive as yet unseen commercial value through bespoke offers and deals by bundling the Made-in-Bensheim/Germany CAD/CAMs, CBCTs and TREATMENT CENTERs with the full portfolio of ENDODONTICS, RESTORATIVE AND PREVENTIVE MATERIALS from Dentsply Sirona.
Dentsply Sirona have even gone the extra mile and invested in a state-of-the art logistics platform, which will allow customers to place orders until 3.00 pm and receive materials delivery the very next day.
When asked about the start date for the new direct sales model, Volker Vellguth, Vice President and General Manager CIS, MEA and India at Dentsply Sirona replied “The new system will go live on 1 July 2018 and we as Dentsply Sirona are excited to expand our relationship with our customers and continue helping them deliver great dental care to patients for years to come”.
