Demand for Renishaw Hills development increases with next phase set to open
Sales for highly sought-after units in Phase 3 of the Renishaw Hills’ mature lifestyle development will open later this year with only four units still available in the Phase 2 development.
Renishaw Hills forms the first part of a series of interconnected commercial and residential villages being constructed in the stunning Mpambanyoni Conservation Development just outside Scottburgh on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. Demand for these contemporary residential units has exceeded expectations with elements such as the quality architectural style, immersive natural lifestyle, security, care facilities and general location all working together to create the ideal coastal development.

The first phase of the development, which is nearing completion, includes 27 freestanding homes made up of 2 and 3-bedroom units, all of which have been sold. Occupation is planned for between August and December of this year with occupation of the 31 Phase 2 units planned for the first half of 2018. These include 19 freestanding homes and 12 maisonettes, with only four of the maisonettes still available for purchase.
The sales register for Phase 3 will open later this year, offering buyers a mixture of 3-bedroom freestanding homes and 2-bedroom maisonettes. Renowned architectural organisation, ZAARC, is behind the attractive contemporary designs for each unit, all of which will be constructed to maximise on natural lighting and breezes while blending with the surrounding natural features.

The Renishaw Hills gatehouse is nearing completion, the security fence and street lights are being erected and the main access road is ready to be tarred – all of which will be finalised by the time the first residents take occupancy.
Enjoyment of the abundant natural splendour that forms Renishaw Hills has informed every design decision, which is why a walking path has been created along the inside of the perimeter fence, affording residents the opportunity to view the grasslands and coastal forest of the surrounding conservation area while getting some exercise.
Rehabilitation of the wetlands area – which started two years ago – is continuing under the direction of leading expert in rehabilitation in KwaZulu-Natal, Geoff Nichols, and renowned South African landscaper and botanist, Elsa Pooley. To this end, sugar cane is being eradicated, without the use of harmful chemicals, while invasive alien plants also being identified and removed. The re-growth of indigenous flora is proving successful with plant species sourced from the local Izinyoni Indigenous Nursery. All of this activity is encouraging the growth of wetland vegetation and there has already been a marked increase in the local birdlife. The main road will cross the wetland area via a gabion bridge, and to further enhance residents’ experience of the area, viewing platforms will be constructed here.
