Consol Cornubia Opening SALE: You know those smoothie jars you spot all over pinterest with layers of fruit and smoothie mix, piled with nuts and sprinkles? Well they’re not so easy to make look good! Had such a laugh over the weekend trying to make pinterest-worthy creations with the kids – but at least they tasted delicious! Consol Glass asked me to create something using anything from their range and I jumped at the opportunity to make smoothie and salad jars after pinning some inspiration over the last few months. Never realised it would be quite so tricky and have the utmost respect for those who can make them look like this: Anyway, as I said they tasted insanely good and I think I convinced the kids to want more smoothies! Smoothie Jar Recipe: 1 cup frozen mixed berries Splash of water or almond milk for consistency Whizz up so that mixture is quite thick (I used my nutribullet) Pour this into Consol jar Spoon granola or oats on top of the mixture Sprinkle with cocoa and cinnamon Top with fresh berries and fruit – I used raspberries, strawberries and sliced apple.
