Chatsworth Oval to host Kasi Coastal Challenge – Featured Durban Blog

23 August 2018 by My Durban

Chatsworth Oval to host Kasi Coastal Challenge:

As they ratchet up their pre-season training the Hollywoodbets Dolphins will entertain their fans at the Chatsworth Stadium when they take on the World Sport Betting Cape Cobras in a T20 match on Friday 31 August in the Kasi Coastal Challenge.

While the Hollywoodbets Dolphins line-up will only be confirmed next week, the squad will be bolstered by the return of some of the Proteas players who were on national duty in Sri Lanka, including Andile Phehlukwayo and Keshav Maharaj.

The team enjoyed a very successful campaign of white ball cricket last season and will be looking to continue that run of good form before they get stuck into the four-day red ball campaign that will kick start the new season in September.

While the rivalry between the two franchises is sure to guarantee fireworks on the field, on the sidelines the two sponsors are adding their own exuberance to the match as the two major players in the sports betting industry plan to match the players rivalry.

“It is going to be an orange and purple war in the stands,” joked KZN Cricket’s marketing manager Nana Ngubane.

Both sets of sponsors will be bringing in their troupes of dancers and cheerleaders together with their respective team mascots Dolphi and Worldy.

“Kasi means ‘home’ and we are thrilled to be bringing this game home to the fans in Chatsworth,” said Hollywoodbets’ Devin Heffer.

“They are loyal supporters of the Hollywoodbets Dolphins at Kingsmead, and we are sure this will fire them up to resume their passionate support for the team when the season proper gets under way,” he added.

“Our Hollywoodbets Hotties dancers are really looking forward to entertaining the fans in Chatsworth and you will see some new routines from them,” said Heffer.

“The Hollywoodbets Dolphins will be playing in their purple away kit and the Cobras in their orange kit, which will add to the spectacle,” he confirmed.

The gates open at 11am, with the first ball to be bowled at midday. Entrance is free of charge.
