Party season is right around the corner and Ballito BIG Week is set to heat up the KZN North Coast this December and New Year’s Eve. Presented by Savanna Premium Cider, the concert series is set to bring some of Mzansi’s biggest names in music to Ballito for the ultimate end-of-year celebration. As tickets officially go on sale, Ballito BIG Week has announced the star-studded line-up party-goers can expect at this year’s bash.

From 22 December 2022 to 1 January 2023, Ballito locals and holidaymakers can choose from an incredible mix of events, music and line-ups designed to cater to everyone in Mzansi’s eclectic music scene, Ballito BIG Week is set to make its mark in a big way.

Black Coffee, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Mango Groove, Zakes Bantwini, Goodluck, Timo ODV, Tresor, Sun-El Musician, Appel, Sjava, Shekhinah, Springbok Nude Girls, Msaki, KO, Wonderboom, Mafikizolo, Rubber Duc and Ladysmith Black Mambazo are just some of the acts partygoers can expect to watch live this year.

“We’re thrilled to announce our diverse and eclectic line-up for what promises to be an exciting Ballito BIG Week,” says Greg Walsh, owner of G&G Production. “Ballito is such a popular holiday destination with many tourists – and for good reason. However, BIG entertainment has yet to entertain these parts of the coast. This is why we wanted to bring South Africa’s best acts to Ballito this year. With a mission to orchestrate BIG events that appeal to everyone, we couldn’t be more thrilled and proud to unveil this line-up.”

Ballito BIG Week will take place at the Ballito Cane Fields (D173 Esenembi Rd, Dolphin Coast, 4399) between 17h00 and 02h00 unless otherwise specified.

22 December: Black Coffee

Global megastar Black Coffee will descend on Ballito alongside Sona, Enoo Napa, Lemon & Herb, Caiiro, DJ Merlon and a star-studded supporting line-up to launch Ballito BIG Week in style.

26 December: Summer Africa Festival

Celebrating the very best in African music, some of Mzansi’s biggest names are set to perform at the Summer Africa Festival. Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Sjava, Msaki, Mondli Ngcobo, Q Twins, Mafikizolo and an incredible supporting line-up will be performing live.

27 December: It’s Personal Coastal
This Summer It’s Personal goes Coastal to bring you the Ballito Picnic. It’s Personal Picnic joins Ballito BIG Week for an event you won’t want to miss. Bringing all the wonder and charm of the picnic to Ballito, It’s Personal Coastal will being you performances from Nuno, Guy Herman, FKA Mash, Caiiro, Super Flu and many more.

28 December: Groot Gooi

What’s a party without a little sokkie, right? This is a GROOT day out you don’t want to miss. Die Heuwels Fantasties, Appel, Van West, Dean Fuel, Chunda Munki, Posduif, Royden and more are bringing the partytjie to Ballito in a BIG way. Tell all your tjommies! Laat ons Groot Gooi!

29 December: Ballito Live

Some of Mzansi’s best live acts are coming together for an epic celebration of live music. Get ready to jump, to rock, to sing and maybe even cry a little, if that’s your thing? This is gonna be another BIG night! Wondeeboom, Goodluck, Rubber Duc, Jordan Arts, Freddy L, Max Hurrell and many more will be reminding fans why they’re the best of the best when it comes to live performances.

31 December: Ballito New Year’s Eve
Ready to give a BIG welcome to 2023? Gareth Cliff MC’s the official NYE party which pays homage to the great Ballito Street Party. Headlined by iconic supergroup Mango Groove, this NYE, watch Rubber Duc, Timo ODV, Kyle Cassim, Kasango, Kyle Worde, Austin Cassim and many more live as we countdown to a new year.

1 January: Zakes Bantwini’s Homecoming Picnic
Thought the festivities come to an end on NYE? Guess again! Keep the celebrations going as the Ghetto King himself, Zakes Bantwini, comes home. The superstar is set to host a special homecoming New Year’s Day festival at Ballito BIG Week that will showcase his full on stage experience supported by his band. Joining him on stage is none other than Sun-El Musician, Tresor, Karyendasoul and more.
