“The Ultimate Human Race”, South Africa’s 2012 Comrades ultra marathon (89km / 56mi) on 2012/06/03) was my 100th lifetime marathon / ultra. It was a “down” year, from Pietermaritzburg to Durban, ZAF.
This video is of the finish line, inside Kingsmead Cricket Ground / Sahara Stadium Kingsmead in Durban, a day before the race. It is the world’s largest ultra. I was blessed to be accompanied by friends from NYC, Dallas, & Houston, who all ran and helped me celebrate my 100th marathon distance or longer race. This is a must-do race.
