Durban – Twelve commuters were injured when two minibus taxis collided on the M25 KwaMashu Highway in Durban on Tuesday morning.

Crisis Medical spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said paramedics had responded to the scene, which had obstructed the roadway near the N2 overpass.
“When we arrived we found the injured still freeing themselves from the vehicles.
“An on-scene triage was done and twelve commuters were treated for minor to moderate injuries before being taken by ambulance to various medical facilities for further assessment,” he added.
“Traffic was severely obstructed and Metro Police were on hand to assist. The cause of the incident and facts surrounding it are still unclear. Local authorities will investigate further,” Van Reenen said.
