Dolphins & Warriors share points in Durban:

Durban – The Hollywoodbets Dolphins and the Warriors left Kingsmead on Wednesday evening with two points each after the weather intervened without a ball being bowled in their CSA T20 Challenge clash.

It was an important game for both sides but with two points each they do make moves on the table.

The Dolphins move up to eight points, just one point behind the Multiply Titans, their opponents for their next match on Saturday.

They remain in fifth position on the log but a win on Saturday would put Grant Morgan’s men right back in top four mix.

“We know how important every game is from now on,” Morgan said. “But we can’t looked too far ahead.

“We have tried to focus on the match at hand and so now the focus is on Saturday.”

Morgan was philosophical about his sides approach to their game this weekend.

“It is a bit of a cliché but we can’t reminisce too much on the past or focus too heavily on the future because then we forget about the now.

“We can’t worry too much about results and log position so we can focus on playing well on Saturday,” he added.

The Dolphins have got Andile Phehlukwayo back in the squad and the influential all-rounder will play an important part in the side’s run-in.

With Phehlukwayo in the eleven the Dolphins have got arguably their strongest side available.

“We have got a good mix and a lot of other players that can come into the side should it be horses for courses.

“We have a eft arm seamer in the wings in Mthokozisi Shezi, Senuran Muthusamy adds another scope but we are really confident in the side that we have,” he added.

The Hollywoodbets Dolphins and the Multiply Titans play at the Pietermaritzburg Oval on Saturday, 20 April. The match starts at 10:00.
